Points currencies have different redemption values. The former universal CPP threshold has been withdrawn. A future guarantee must identify the rewards program, eligible card, agreed travel experience and a separately approved qualifying target before purchase.
Estimates and guarantees are separate.
Our free assessment uses dated, conservative research benchmarks. Neither the upper end of an estimate nor an observed high-value redemption becomes a guaranteed minimum. No award availability, cash savings or fee recovery is promised.
The calculation must be explicit.
Redemption CPP = (comparable cash price − mandatory award fees) ÷ effective source points × 100. Applicable transfer ratios must be included. A consulting-fee-adjusted figure subtracts the $199 research fee separately and must be labelled accordingly.
What remains to be approved.
- Program/card-specific qualifying targets and eligible travel categories.
- Agreed dates, airports, passengers, cabin, flexibility and source-point balances.
- Evidence standards, comparable cash fares, fees, availability timestamps and transfer eligibility.
- Scope changes, cancellation rights, refund request windows, review and processing expectations.
A supported target and approved refund conditions will be visible before any future payment. Unsupported or unsuitable requests require individual review. No binding replacement policy has been published.
