Sample research formatNovember 6, 2026
New York to Rome.
A considered comparison.
Illustrative scope: one round-trip journey, one passenger, economy cabin, flexible dates. No specific airline, loyalty program or flight is recommended here.
01 · The comparable costs
Before consulting fee2.0 CPP
($1,200 − $0) ÷ 60,000 × 100 = 2.0 CPP.
Illustrative value after a $199 consulting fee: ($1,200 − $0 − $199) ÷ 60,000 × 100 = 1.67 CPP.
02 · The basis for comparison
A real report would record the itinerary, cabin, fare conditions, mandatory fees, researched dates, cash source and the time inventory was checked. An unrelated or inflated cash fare would not be a sound comparison.
03 · Points and transfer considerations
A real report would identify the source currency and any eligible transfer path, verify the actual ratio and calculate the effective source-points cost. Program eligibility, transfer timing, irreversible-transfer warnings and booking restrictions would be checked before a recommendation.
04 · Your booking checklist
- Recheck the specific itinerary and total award cost directly with the booking provider.
- Confirm passenger details, program eligibility, transfer requirements and cash fees.
- Compare the available cash alternative and its conditions again.
- Transfer points only after you understand timing, restrictions and changing availability.
- Complete the booking yourself and retain the provider’s confirmation.
05 · Research notes and limitations
No inventory check was performed for this sample. In a real report, each documented option would carry a research timestamp. Award seats and pricing can change after delivery. The program-specific guarantee is not active and does not apply to this sample.
